I didn't build MMBC to sell supplements.

I grew up in the Midwest. Nothing about where I came from was glamorous. There were no shortcuts. No overnight success stories. Just ordinary people getting up every morning and doing what needed to be done. Around here, work wasn't something you talked about. It was something you did.

My father taught me that. He wasn't interested in speeches about success. He taught by example. He showed me that your word matters. That showing up matters. That providing for your family matters. That you finish what you start. Those lessons became the foundation for everything I've built.

Long before I owned companies, I worked blue-collar jobs. The kind of jobs that leave dirt under your fingernails. The kind of work that reminds you every day that nothing worthwhile comes easy.

Those jobs taught me something business school can't. Hard work isn't punishment. It's a privilege. There's dignity in building something. There's honor in keeping your word. There's pride in doing difficult things well, even when nobody notices.

That mindset shaped the way I look at people. I've never judged someone by the car they drive or the clothes they wear. I've always judged them by whether they do what they said they would do.

Fitness didn't become important to me until my late twenties. Like many people, I walked into a gym hoping to become physically stronger. What I found instead was something much more valuable. Discipline.

The gym taught me that results don't care about excuses. Weights don't know your background. They don't know your income. They don't know your followers. They only respond to effort. That lesson changed my life.

The more time I spent around the fitness industry, the more I felt something had changed. The people I respected most weren't the ones being celebrated. The mechanic finishing a ten-hour shift before training. The lineman waking up before sunrise. The nurse working nights. The welder squeezing in an hour at the gym.

Instead, success increasingly looked like popularity. The loudest voices received the most attention. Follower counts mattered more than character. Products were marketed with hype instead of honesty. It felt like the industry had forgotten the very people whose work ethic built the culture in the first place.

MMBC wasn't created because the world needed another supplement company. It wasn't created because another hoodie needed to be printed. It was created because I believed hard-working people deserved a brand that represented them. A company that respected work more than popularity. Character more than image. Discipline more than motivation.

The name itself reflects that mindset. Murder Muscle Barbell Club doesn't celebrate violence. It represents a commitment to murdering excuses before they become habits. It represents pushing yourself beyond what is comfortable. It represents earning strength through effort. Not because it's easy. Because it's worth it.

If someone puts on an MMBC shirt, or drinks one of our supplements, or becomes part of this community, I don't just want them to feel motivated. I want them to feel determined.

Determined to finish what they started. Determined to become someone they respect. Determined to do difficult things without needing recognition. Because determination lasts longer than motivation.
